Mona Stilwell Vancouver Founder Meal Delivery New Moms New Parents

Mona (Mok) Stilwell, Founder, she/her

Mona was born in Malaysia on the territories of the Rungus people. Her ancestors are from China, Indonesia and Portugal. She’d like to honour that she grew up on the traditional and unceded territories of the Tsawwassen (sc̓əwaθen), Tsleil-Waututh (səl̓ilwətaɁɬ), S’ólh Téméxw (Stó:lō), Kwantlen, and Stz'uminus. In the place now known as Richmond.

She had a fulfilling career as a Project Manager working in software while dabbling in filmmaking on the side. After the birth of her twins, her priorities shifted and she decided to share her own postpartum food experience with a broader audience by modernizing traditional Chinese meals and increasing accessibility and awareness of this vital support for parents of newborns. Now that she’s directed her energies to Feeding Mama, she is gonna project manage the heck out of this venture while documenting the business journey in the form of a podcast.

Karima Chellouf Vancouver Chef Nutritionist

Karima Chellouf, CNP & Chef, she/her

A few decades ago, Mother Chellouf tried to scare her children into eating vegetables by reading to them from a medical textbook about diseases. This sparked Karima’s great curiosity for health, research, and medicine, as she went through her parents’ extensive collection of encyclopedias and books about food, health, and science.

She found her direction in working with food, especially for those with allergies or special dietary considerations, and made it a long-term goal to use her chef skills to educate people about the value of their food. Her style of cooking is fresh, deeply nourishing, and thoughtfully planned for optimal health and recovery. Working with Feeding Mama allows Karima to connect with her Chinese roots by using her strengths.

In 2018, she graduated from The Institute of Holistic Nutrition with honours and was selected as Co-Valedictorian of her class. Karima’s blossoming practice, Glory & Guts Nutrition, focuses on digestive wellness, immune health, sports performance, energy/cognitive function, disease prevention, and herbal medicine. She is a vocal intersectional feminist and public speaker who regularly hosts fundraiser dinners, and intends to make nutrition and health information more accessible, especially to communities of colour and LGBTQIA2S+ spaces.
